1. What is your favorite event with your family in our childhood.

My favorite event in my childhood is to have a picnick with my family in the park. It’s a very beautiful park and my mother always prepares very decilious food for us. I love this event for two reasons. To begin with my mother is always busy so there is not too much for her to get along with my sister and me. So I cherish every picnick we have. In addition, my mother and I always talk a lot when we get together. She would like to know how is going with my perforence in the school and I always want to share my thinking

2. Do you prefer to do the diffcult assignment in the morning or in the evening?

I prefer to do my diffcult assignment in the morning for two reasons. First of all, I have to work in the evening. I have a part-timr job in the library and I have to work late. So there is not too much time for to study in the evening. The more important thing is I am energrtic in the morning. You know, people could be more forcus on their study when they have more energy and they can study more efficiently and quickly. That’s why I prefer to handle my duffcult assignment in the morning.

3. The announcement is talking about the school should waive the requirment of taking the writing course for the students whose major is science. In the coversation, the boy disagrees with this idea. He argues that scientists also need a good skill of writing to express their idea or discovery clearly. He used his father to be the example to illustrate that there is no way the scientists could share their finding if they didn’t have good skill of writing. In addition, other students also have to work on their study very hard. For example, his major in history and he also has to do his research in the library. It doesn’t make sense let the scientific students waive the writing corse just because they have to work long in the lab.

4. The article give us some concept of the prematl learning in some speciese of birds and in the lecture the professor use baby murrs to be the example to explain this concept. The mother of baby muff would make some noise near the eggs it lays. At the same time the baby muff in the eggs could learn their parents’ sound. When the parent muff would like to find out their own babies, they could make the same sound on the babys and the baby could response to their parents because they recognize their parents’ sound. That’s a strong evidence to support the concept of prematl learning.

5. The girl has a problem about how to fix the hole on the wall in her apartment before she leave tomorrow. The owner gives her two solutions. Either she could let the owner to take care of it or she could fix the hole by herself. If I were in her shoes, I would fix it up by myself because I don’t want to be charged by the owner. You know the expense of education for students are very expensive and I don’t have extra money to pay for that.

1. What you change since your your childhood. I learn how to take responsibility for my behavior. I was unresponsible for my homework and study much when i was in the senior school. I always promised my mother I would preview some testbook and finish my homework by the end of a day. But I didn’t take serious to my promise so I got very low score on my academic subject. Then I realize how important it is to responsible for my behavuor.

2. Do you agree with this agreement” Students should learn some other skill like cook in school” I agree with that for two reasons. One is  they can increase my social activity becasue I know ho to co

ok for my friends. The other is to do that can save me some money.

What I am going to write is something about the note aftter I took the TOEFL test in 3/22. I think that will be very useful for me to keep this note for the prepration for the next time test.

Speaking section

1. What is the style of clothes interested by your country.(Not so exact the question on the real test)

I tried to talk about that people in my country would like to wear casually. People prefer to wear jean and tshirt when they go outside or go shopping. The main reason is that people were affected by the west culture such as movie and tv drama a lot recently. People would like to dress like them because they seem to be gorgeous.

2. Do you want to spend your free time with your friends or family or not?

I prefer to stay with my friends and family when I have free time. Two reasons are we have the common habby like sport and they are good linsteners.

3. An announcement about the student would ask the school to make the  evaluation of teacher’s teaching technique public instead of in private. The girl think that’s useless. One is professor won’t change anything and another reason is students do the evaluation at the end of class. They won;t spend too much time for that so there is not so valuable.

4. The article talk about the airborn chemical which can alerm the other trees sourding it to produce posin or toxic substance before they get be infected by the insects. And in the lecture the professor talks about an experiement to prove this concept. A scientist devide the trees to be two groups. One is infected by insects and the other is free from the infection. But both of groups can produce the toxic substance to kill the insects.

5. The girl has a problem for her work participated in the student exhibition. Her work doesn’t fit the requirement for the exhibition because it is too big. Either she can choose another old one to replace it or she can draw another one to participate in. But She is no so pround of her old work and she has a exam next week. She would like to spend more time on syudying.

6. The professor talks about the graduate students use two differents approaches to choose their feuture carrers. Maxmimers and satisfiers. The previous one try every way to get the best benefit for their work. For instance, the journist could write a article for newspaper or TV news. He will choose the employer who pay the best salary. The satisfers will choose the first job which they could fulfill its requirement. For instance the lawer could choose the first company which need them.

NPR all thing consider in April 15 2008

Last month I took the TOEFL test again and there was one hard speaking question for me. The question is what is the most changing thing in your country in 12 years. I tried to talk about the health insurance in Taiwan. I knew people living in Taiwan were forced to participate in this insurance which was established by our government. But I was not familiar with this topic so I left 5~10 secs to think about what I should say and organize my sentence. After the test, I tried to find some news or article about this topic and here you are. I should read more article about academics and society.

That’s very interesting because people living in USA have to pay their own health insurence indivisually.

Last weakend my friends and I went to see a football game in the USC stadium, A.K.A Coliseum areana, in reality. I am a hardcord USC football team fan and that was my first time to be in the stadium in USC. I was so excited about this game even though the game nonwtheless was not so important for USC. I bought several tickets from a website in a very fair price. On the game day it was a little rainy but there was no way to keep the fans from the game. Just like what I expected for, USC defeated Washionton and lead so many points. My friend even took a picture of a student’s dispointing face from the Washionton marching band. It’s so hilarious. I hope I can go to see a football game in reality again.
